I didn’t fall into photography because of cameras or gear. I was drawn to it because it taught me how to slow down and really see people. What started as a creative outlet quickly became the way I connect with couples and Family clients through laid-back, candid photography in Naples, Florida. I specialize in couples and engagement photography, creating sessions that feel natural, relaxed, and focused on real connection rather than stiff posing.

I’m especially drawn to the moments you can’t plan. The quiet in-between glances, the laughter that sneaks up on you, and the energy you feel when people are fully themselves. As a couples and engagement photographer, I care far more about how a photo feels than how perfectly it’s posed. That same approach carries through my work with families and weddings, where comfort, trust, and genuine interaction lead to the most meaningful images.

The name Jaybird Shoots Photography came from a college roommate who started calling me “Jaybird,” and it stuck. Over time, it became more than a nickname. It grew into a brand that reflects how I show up behind the camera. Calm, intentional, and easygoing. Whether I’m photographing an engagement, a couple, or a family in Naples or another part of Southwest Florida, my goal is simple. Create an experience that feels effortless and images that feel real.
